Anthony Notes and Poems

File consists of notes written from Carter to his wife Minn Sjolseth, various personal and research notes, poems he had written and 2 sheets of guestbook signatures from one of Minn Sjolseth's exhibitions.

Northern Spring (edited by Alan Campbell)

File consists of a draft of Northern Spring by Anthony Carter, edited by Carter's son-in-law Alan Campbell. Northern Spring is a biography of the Carter family and the community of Goodsoil in Saskatchewan. The text, poetry and design are by Anthony Carter and the cover image is by his brother Phil Carter. The edited draft includes an obituary of Carter and other materials reprinted from his funeral, as well as a photocopy of a photograph of Carter and his wife Minn Sjolseth.

Photos depict various unlabeled events, and people, including Minn Sjolseth in her studio.

File consists of negatives depicting Carter and Minn Sjolseth's travels throughout BC and the Yukon, including items labeled "Bear Totem," "Boat, Van," "Entrance to Stanley Park," "Vancouver Island, Graveyard Bay Village, Esperanza Inlet," "Nicola Valley Campsites," "Jackie Burrows and Richard Farnsworth - Filming Bill Miner at Ft. Steel, BC," and "Yukon Border Sign." The file also contains documentation of Sjolseth's exhibition at the Frye Art Museum and negatives labeled "Minn and paintings."

Series consists of records related to Carter’s family life and travels with Minn Sjolseth, general research, self-published writing projects, and the posthumous management of his estate by Alan and Laila Campbell. Records include photographs taken by Carter, research photographs and articles, drafts by Carter and Alan Campbell, self-published materials, notes and poetry, correspondence, various certificates and licenses, and scrapbooks. The series also includes files that contain personal photographs mixed with photographs from publications documented in other series in this fonds. Photojournalism records

Series consists of materials related to Carter’s work as a photographic correspondent, primarily from Carter's work for Canada Rides Magazine documenting HRH Prince Charles' visit to Alberta for the centennial of the Treaty 7 signing between the Crown and Blackfoot First Nations. Files include photographs, textual materials, and other ephemera.
