Pitt Rivers Museum

File contains photocopied images of Haida and Nuxalk masks housed at the Pitt Rivers Museum. Other textual records include information on featured Northwest Coast masks and correspondence between McLennan and the museum. The photographs contain images of masks and other Northwest Coast artifacts such as hats, combs, and carvings housed at Pitt Rivers Museum.

RBCM [Royal BC Museum]

File contains images of Heiltsuk masks housed at the Royal British Columbia Museum. It also contains an image of an "Egyptian head with curly hair," and two postcards from the Field Museum of Natural History.

Project research

File contains the research materials for the project where McLennan acted as an adviser for the project. In addition, are images of Ruby Peter showing the process of mat making.

Kwakwaka'wakw

File contains a combination of images of Kwakwaka'wakw artifacts housed in various museums and images of historical Kwakwaka'wakw villages on Vancouver Island and along the Northwest Coast of British Columbia. Artifacts include totem poles, bentwood boxes, carvings, masks, and Kwakwaka'wakw artwork such as paintings and drawings. There are historical photographs of the following villages: Gwat'sinuxw (Quatsino), Kwikwasutinuxw (Gilford Island), A'wa'etlala Village (Knight's Inlet), Mamalikala (Village Island), Wiwekalu Village of T'la'mataxw (Campbell River), Kwixa Village (Salmon River), Dunaxda'xw Village (New Vancouver), and Gwa'sala Village (Smith Inlet). The textual records include information about some of the photographs, identifying items such as the people, the villages, and/or the artifacts depicted in the photographs.

Canadian Museum of Civilization

File contains images of bentwood boxes housed at the Canadian Museum of Civilization (now the Canadian Museum of History). The textual records contained in this file are copies of catalogue records.

Photos of canoes

File contains images of canoes from various Northwest Coast First Nations communities including Tsimshian, Haida, Nuxalk, Kwakwaka'wakw and Nuu-chah-nulth.

Canoe label

File contains information about the Northwest Coast canoe including how they're made, their importance, and their history. There are also photocopied images of canoes from the Nuu-chah-nulth and the Kwakwaka'wakw communities.

Ktunaxa/Kinbasket/Okanagan

File contains historical images of the Ktunaxa peoples and some of their villages around the modern day Kootenay area. The textual records include two photocopies of images of the Ktunaxa peoples.

File contains text for object label, biographical information on Tim Paul, photocopies of newspaper clippings, and correspondence regarding Paul's event in Sweden.

Susan Point

File contains images of Susan Point and others working on two totem poles and the giant spindle whorl displayed at YVR airport. In addition are textual records relating to the design of these artworks.

New visions: Susan Point by Karen Duffek

File contains images related to the house posts Susan Point was commisioned to create for the Museum of Anthropology. These posts were created to look similar but not exact replicas of the ones in the New York Museum of Natural History.
