The fonds consists of black and white photographs and negatives. Subjects depicted include villages, boats and ferries, landscapes, bridges, logging clearcuts, and totem poles. Some of the photos appear to be of the Lions Gate Bridge, Stanley Park, and the Capilano Suspension Bridge.

Missionary Society of the Church of England in Canada Slide Collection
Collection consists of 48 glass lantern slides (29 of them tinted) and 2 negatives. The lantern slides include images related to four Residential Schools: Elkhorn (Manitoba), St. Michael’s (British Columbia), Shingwauk (Ontario), and Choutla (Yukon).
Collection includes images of the schools, classrooms, and different areas of the buildings (dining room, kitchen, etc.); the staff, students, and families engaged in different activities; and surroundings of the schools (cemeteries, churches, villages, etc.). Collection also includes images of landscapes and two images unidentified villages.
Collection might be similar to the Missionary Society of the Church of England in Canada fonds, at the Anglican Church of Canada Diocese of Rupert's Land, Manitoba.
Lantern slides shows were used during the 1920s and 1930s by the Church of England in Canada to promote the work of their missionaries and to raise funds. The slide shows took place during missionaries’ services, church services, Sunday school groups, and special church programs. Usually, the slide shows were complemented with a text with basic commentary on the mission and content of the slides.

The fonds reflects Minn Sjolseth's artistic career and travels to First Nations communities throughout British Columbia and Alaska with her husband Anthony Carter. Contents of the fonds depict First Nations cultures in British Columbia between 1960 and 1980, including Haida, Coast Salish, Kwakwaka'wakw, Gitsegukla, Kispiox, and Nisga'a. Several of the contents depict notable figures, including Chief Dan George and August Jacks.

Fonds consists of negative images of petroglyphs largely from the Pacific west coast of North America. Most of the images are from sites located in British Columbia, but there are also images from sites in Washington State, New Mexico, and other areas of the United States and Mexico. Fonds consists of records created by Audrey Shane as Archivist/Librarian and later Curator of Documentation of the Museum of Anthropology. The records consist of mainly textual and graphic material. The records include correspondence, internal memoranda, minutes of committee meetings, reports, student papers, handwritten notations, draft copies of articles and papers, book reviews, grant applications, drafts of text labels, photographs, negatives, contact sheets, slides and other textual and graphic material related to Shane’s functions and activities at the Museum.

He was a salesman who traveled up and down the coast and may be one of the people in the photograph.Gitskan is a National Historic Site of Canada located at Kitwanga, British Columbia in the Skeena Country in the northwestern region of the province. It was an 18th century earthwork fortress also known as Battle Hill. Gitskan village features several wooden totem poles (featured in the photograph) that were originally erected by several clans on Battle Hill but were moved due to floods.

Fonds consists of five glass plate negatives taken in the early 1930s by James B. W. Cater when he worked for a farming company on Rapa Nui (Easter Island), a Chilean island in the southeastern Pacific Ocean, at the southeasternmost point of the Polynesian Triangle.
Glass plate negatives feature: a young girl posed in front of a moai, the monolithic human figures carved by the Rapa Nui people; a portrait of a young girl; group portraits taken outdoors.

This fonds consists of 136 slides taken by E. Polly Hammer on various trips to British Columbia, Alaska, Manitoba, and Minnesota during the time she was based in Manitoba. The slides primarily depict totem poles from throughout the Northwest coast, including carvings by Mungo Martin and Henry Hunt. There are also depictions of petroglyphs and other works of art, as well as buildings (houses, museums, forts, and other dwelling places) and landscapes. There are also several photographs of events attended and photographed by E. Polly Hammer. The fonds also contains a booklet with information on and images of totem poles in Prince Rupert, British Columbia.

The fonds reflects the religious work and family history of Rev. George Stallworthy and his descendants. The fonds consists of correspondence and drawings related to the family's time in the South Pacific; 20 photographic portraits of family members; sermons, article reprints, and correspondence related to George Burnett Stallworthy's religious work and life; and a scrapbook containing memoranda, correspondence, photographs, clippings, pamphlets, genealogical research, and other ephemera from the Stallworthy family up to 1925.

Fonds consists of a set of tapes of interviews and the corresponding interview transcripts with Dr. Charles (Carl) E. Borden, late Professor Emeritus of Archaeology at the University of British Columbia, in June/July 1978. Additional textual records include comments made off-tape by Dr. Charles E. Borden during the course of the interviews. The interviews were conducted, transcribed, and edited by Anne Williams for her thesis Carl Borden and archaeology in British Columbia: an interactive history. The interviews relate to the social history of archaeology in British Columbia and were made possible by a British Columbia Youth Employment Program grant.

B.C. and Jessie Binnings fonds
Fonds consists of records related to the Binnings’ correspondence with (predominantly) friends and colleagues overseas in Japan from 1959 to 1971, including Bishop Kojo Sakamoto and members of his family. Mostly composed of personal letters written by hand, several letters are painted using calligraphy. Other records include program brochures and news clippings for exhibits in Japan and North America, and scrapbooks assembled by the Binnings. These either commemorate various visits they took to Japan or of visits their Japanese friends took to Canada. Fonds is divided into three series:

Basil and Edythe Hartley fonds
Fonds consists of audio, video, and visual materials created by Basil and Edythe Hartley. Materials include video footage of the Haisla people, which Hartley shot while working in Kitimaat from 1941-1944, a voiceover for the footage which Hartley’s widow, Edythe McClure, created in ca. 1983, a letter, and three photographs of Kitimaat people and landscapes. The three audio cassettes all contain the same 1983 recording.

Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) collection
The APEC collection was established in 1997 when the Museum of Anthropology (MOA) hired two students, Todd Tubutis and Maria Roth. These two students were supervised by Director and Professor Ruth B. Phillips, and instructed to gather information in a variety of formats that would serve to represent the events of the 1997 APEC Leaders Meeting at MOA. These materials, in addition to their archival value, were to be used in a public exhibition at the museum and for other museum educational projects.
The collection consists of materials gathered by Todd Tubutis and Maria Roth in 1997 and 1998. These two students were hired to gather information in a variety of formats that would serve to represent the events of the 1997 APEC Leaders’ Meeting at the Museum. These records consist of textual materials, sound recordings, photographs, posters and banners, and physical artifacts. The records include: photographs of the Museum of Anthropology in preparation for the Leaders’ Meeting and protests against APEC at UBC and throughout Vancouver; posters and banners collected at protests at UBC and the Museum of Anthropology; radio broadcast recordings from UBC campus radio (CITR) on the day of the APEC Leaders’ Meeting and heavy student protesting; official APEC paraphernalia (both textual and graphic); textual records of the impact APEC had at the Museum of Anthropology; newspaper and journal articles concerning the APEC Leaders’ Meeting at the Museum of Anthropology; press releases from protest groups, the Prime Minister’s Office, and APEC; concerns of the Musqueam Nation regarding APEC; and coverage of the APEC Leaders’ Meeting in U.S. newspapers.
