Item is a photograph of two men performing a dance while a crowd watches. The man on the right in ceremonial dress (button blanket, cedar bark headdress) is Willie Seewid [Seaweed; Sewid?], who carved the crooked beak mask with cedar strips that is worn by the other dancer on the left.

One person wears a crooked beak [four-faced?] mask while the other is wearing a button blanket and headdress. Willie Seewid [Seaweed; Sewid?] is the man on the left looking at the dancer - noted by William Wasden Jr., 2005/02/22.

Item is a photograph of three young women, and two young girls standing in ceremonial dress (button blankets; carved and painted [wolf?] mask; and headdresses made of woven cedar, weasel(?), abalone, and eagle feathers). They are gathered for an event celebrating British Columbia's centennial in Alert Bay in 1958. Daisy Neel is in the centre wearing the frontlet and her twin sisters are the young girls in front of her. Emma Sewid [Seewid; Seaweed?] and Mabel Sewid [Seewid; Seaweed?] are on either sides of them.

St. Michael's School, Alert Bay, B.C.

Item is a photograph with a perforated edge depicting the entrance to the St. Michael's Indian Residential School in Alert Bay, which was founded in 1929 by the Anglican Church of Canada. Two painted totem poles are visible in front of the school, with thunderbird, [grizzly bear?], and copper figures.

Item is a photograph of artifacts of Northwest Coast cultural groups [Kwakwaka'wakw?], including: 3 carved and painted wooden masks, 1 carved and painted wooden headdress, and 1 unidentified wooden object displayed against a white sheet backdrop. The mask on the left might be a Kwakwaka'wakw representation of Dzunuk'wa, The Woman of the Woods. The mask in the middle has an abalone feature.
