Chinese Peasant Textiles Art: Kwantung and Szechuan Provinces

Subseries consists of records relating to the exhibit, “Chinese Peasant Textiles Art.” This exhibit was proposed by Elizabeth Johnson and carried out by students. Records include notes, excerpts from articles, visitor survey forms, handwritten notations, hand-drawn diagrams of display cases, proposals and budgets.

Guatemalan Highland Exhibit

The records in this series relate to the planning and development of the 1976 Guatemalan Highlands textile exhibit. The records in the series are primarily visual materials, however other subjects include the design of wall texts for the exhibit and notes on the items to be included in the show. While slides are the predominant form of material in this series other record formats include notes, memoranda, negatives, and photographs.

Dress and identity

File contains two images. The first image is a negative depicting two unidentified people dressed in traditional dress. The second image is of the back of an unidentified person looking at a museum description on a wall. There is a mannequin dressed in traditionnal dress placed to the left of the person.

File contains images of drawings that were part of the exhibit <i>Images of Life: 50000 years of Japanese Pre-History</i>. Drawings include illustrations of village life, tools, the inside of houses, and dress.
