The fonds consists of photographs of Gloria Kaplan with various indigenous artists, whose names have been recorded in the image titles and IPTC metadata. The photographs were taken by Selig Kaplan with the intention of documenting the artists from whom the Kaplans acquired artwork or anticipated acquiring artwork from.

The fonds consists of records relating to Rosa Ho’s functions as a Curator of Art and Public Programmes at the Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia. Records include correspondence, memoranda, handwritten notes, minutes, object lists, reports, brochures, press releases, newspaper clippings, interview transcripts and tapes, financial statements, grant applications, publication drafts, policy information, mission statements, and other materials. The records are predominantly from 1988 to 1999, while Rosa was the Curator of Art and Public Programmes. The records largely pertain to events, programming, and exhibitions held at the Museum of Anthropology. Also included in the fonds are records relating to external projects and publications.

The fonds consists of photographs created by Ronnie Tessler between 1986 and 1987 documenting a canoe project by Nisga’a carver Norman Tait. The project was abandoned in the summer of 1987, and the canoe was left uncompleted. The photographs depict models for the canoe, transportation of the log for the canoe to the Museum of Anthropology, ceremonies performed throughout the project, and various stages of work on the canoe and model. Additional photographs from this period depict a totem pole-raising ceremony at Capilano Mall in North Vancouver, as well as portraits of Les Baker, a model Tait wanted to use for a “white man” mask. The fonds is arranged into a single series: Norman Tait canoe project and related materials.

Collection consists of photographic prints by Roland Reed, featuring Native Americans and scenery of the western United States.

The scanned images contained on the two discs in this fonds represent a selection of Robert Reford’s amateur photographs found in two albums from his time in British Columbia (1889-1891) and in the Arctic (ca. 191?). The images are presented in the order that existed in the original albums.

The fonds consists of 17 photographic prints taken by Robert Keziere on October 20, 1982 of artist Bill Reid working in his Kerrisdale (Vancouver) studio. The film remained unprocessed until 2009, when it was developed and the prints, contact sheet, and DVD were created. The DVD contains image files in multiple resolutions. In 2021 an additional roll of film was discovered by Keziere and prints, negatives, contact sheet, and USB flash drive were added to the fonds.

The fonds consists of minutes, correspondence, contracts, and reports relating to the Planning of the Museum of Man (later Museum of Anthropology). The fonds includes information pertaining to the planning for the new museum, building needs, museum function, and the Functional Program which outlines the results of decisions the committee made.

Collection consists of one bound journal, reflecting Broughton's day-to-day activities and missionary work in Baffin Island between 1909 and 1915, and one photo album with images of Wycliffe College, ships and their crews, towns, Arctic wildlife, and many of the Inuit community at Lake Harbour [Kimmirut] in Nunavut, Canada.

Collection consists of 14 hand-tinted photographs of Japan. Geographic areas represented by these photographs include Kobe, Enosha Island, Tokyo, Nagasaki, Chuzenji Lake at Nikko, Inland Sea at Bingo, Kamakura, Yokohama and Honmoku.

Fonds reflects Brown’s career as a curator at the Museum of Anthropology, including her role as Supervisor of the Native Youth Programme. Collection illustrates the gathering of information and writing of the book “Paddling to Where I Stand : Agnes Alfred, Qwiqwasutinuxw Noblewoman.” Includes interviews to Agnes Alfred conducted by Martine J. Reid and Daisy Sewid-Smith between 1979 and 1985. Interviews are documented as audio and video recordings and their written transcriptions, and other materials gathered by Martine J. Reid and Daisy Sewid-Smith for the edition and publication of the book. Collection also contains the manuscripts and draft for the book; correspondence between Martine J. Reid, Daisy Sewid-Smith and other people; eulogies and funeral pamphlets; Agnes Alfred’s family information; historical notes; and miscellanea. Collection includes photographic materials with photographs included in the book and additional photographs gathered by Martine J. Reid and Daisy Sewid-Smith during their research, and portraits of Agnes Alfred’s parents.
