File consists of images of the Skeena River valley area in British Columbia, near Hazelton. Subjects include people, totem poles, scenery, and the the villages of Gitsegukla and Kitwancool.

Bella Coola [houses]

File mainly contains photocopies of architectural drawings and plans of the Bella Coola house that was part of the CMC House project. Other records include a list of artists from Bella Coola who were potential candidates to work on the house, and research information.

CMC houses project

This subseries contains records relating to an exhibit built at the Canadian Museum of Civilization. McLennan was the project manager and design developer for this project. He oversaw the completion and installation of six west coast First Nation house designs: Coast Salish, Haida, Tsimshian, Bella Coola, Oweekeno, and Kwakwaka'wakw. The records include newspaper clippings, correspondence, photographs, and notes.

Fonds consists of slides taken by Douglas Routley in the late 1950's on the University of British Columbia (UBC) campus. The slides feature a longhouse and totem poles. They were taken when Routley and his wife visited UBC in the late 1950s.
