Passing of the 'Siwash'

Front of print is titles in ink "Passing of the "Siwash" and bottom right corner is signed "copyright in Canada by BW Leeson." Back is also signed "W.B. Leeson Quatsino B.C." Written on back of print: "'Siwash' is the old Hudson Bay Co. name for the western Indian which is fast dissappearing. Seldom seen is the old 'blanket Indian.' An album of these called 'The Vanishing Race' is on sale."

Curtis, a negro[sic] at the end of the log is the boon[?] all the boys like him.

As the present prices of spruce logs the tree is worth $1900 as soon as it hits the water. The Donkey pulls it in about 4 hours. The log the boys are standing again[sic] just sailed through the woods a few minutes before we took the picture."
