Records pertaining to the touchable exhibit for the visually handicapped

Sub-series consists of various labels and captions, final report, museum tour information, fundraising, as well as published materials and background information pertaining to the “Touchables” exhibit and a previous MoA exhibit for the blind. Colour slides depict a variety of Northwest Coast Indian objects. Sub-series also contains program assessment, publicity information and contracts.

Financial Records

Series consists of records pertaining to MoA fund raising and grant applications. Series includes copies of correspondence with other curators and a directory to foundations. Series contains information and a copy of a MoA grant proposal.

Cultural Review Board Records

Series contains correspondence regarding the authenticity of artifacts. Stott served as an expert examiner of Northwest Coast cultures; the series pertains to the evaluation of artifacts as being of “outstanding significance” for application to the Canadian Cultural Property Export Review Board. Series also contains copies of correspondence written by other MoA curators as well as background information.

Administrative Records

Series consists of annual reports, building information, disaster plan, policies and public queries. Series contains memorandums, brochures, reports, policy drafts, and published materials.

Series consists of MoA publications that describe the museum’s public programs. Series also contains background information for Haida House programs. Series contains brochures, tabulated results, and the master copy of the miniguide survey. Series includes guidebook additions and published materials.

University of British Columbia Museum Studies Records

Series consists of correspondence, program queries, resumes, brochures and syllabi for other museum studies programs. Series contains published materials, drafts of UBC Museum Studies Programs as well as course descriptions and student papers. Series contains SUB-SERIES: student papers; queries; UBC Museum Studies Program Information; Other Museum Programs.

School Programs Records

Series consists of correspondence, memorandums, student evaluations, student observation data, and reports of the school programs offered by MoA. Series contains brochures for other institutions’ school programs, drafts and final version of education research proposal, as well as school bookings and tour handouts.
