New visions: Susan Point by Karen Duffek

File contains images related to the house posts Susan Point was commisioned to create for the Museum of Anthropology. These posts were created to look similar but not exact replicas of the ones in the New York Museum of Natural History. Susan Point

File contains images of Susan Point and others working on two totem poles and the giant spindle whorl displayed at YVR airport. In addition are textual records relating to the design of these artworks.

Gordon Miller

File contains images of drawings done by Gordon Miller of objects in the museum as well as of totem poles and houses. All drawings were done on contract with the Museum of Anthropology, some became labels in the Great Hall.

File contains images of Jim Hart carving a replica of a totem pole that originated from Massett and was damaged during a wind storm. There are also images from the pole raising ceremony of the completed pole at the Museum of Anthropology. In addition, this file contains textual records such as information provided about the totem pole and some adminstrative documents outlining the logistics of raising the pole at MOA.

File contains images of Jim Hart's artworks, as well as him dancing at a pole raising and shots of him working in the Museum of Anthropology, UBC. In addition this file contains textual records such as correspondence both with and about Jim Hart.

Ron Hamilton

File consists of images objects and a publication titled "We Sing to the Universe: Poems by Ron Hamilton" for which Bill McLennan photographed the artwork on the cover. In addition, is a letter from Ron Harrison to Bill McLennan.

Henry Green

File contains one image of a totem pole carved by Henry Green and an accompanying photocopy of a newspaper article about Henry Green and the pole he carved for Charles Hays Secondary School in Prince Rupert.
