Series consists of records associated with the functions and responsibilities assigned to Miriam Clavir in her role as the conservator of the Museum of Anthropology, and/or are related to the Conservation Area, as well as to her teaching activities. Included are: correspondence, memoranda, reports (published and unpublished), evaluations, building (architectural) plans, photographs, slides, e-mails, facsimiles, computer disks, and audio cassettes.

Series consists of two prints given to Herb as gifts from the artists. One is s
commemorative print from the Massett Haida Pole Raising (at the Museum of Anthropology) in 1992. The pole was carved by Jim Hart and is a replica of a pole in Massett. The other print is unidentified, by a ‘Ksan artist. The artist’s signature is in the lower right corner, but is not legible.

This series consists of graphic and textual materials related to Sawyer’s research on Northwest Coast artifacts. Graphic materials in this series include slides, contact sheets, and drawings of artifacts. Textual records in this series consists of essays related to Sawyer’s research on Northwest Coast artifacts, museum catalogue lists, and iconic analysis cards complied and/or accumulated by Sawyer. Other textual records include correspondence Sawyer had with various museums regarding Northwest Coast artifacts in their collections.

Focus is on photographic representations of First Nations communities along B.C.'s North coast, including the Xwemelch'stn (Coast Salish), Kynoc, Kitisug, Klemtu and Tsleil-Waututh nations. Series consists of materials related to Carter’s work as a photographic correspondent, primarily from Carter's work for Canada Rides Magazine documenting HRH Prince Charles' visit to Alberta for the centennial of the Treaty 7 signing between the Crown and Blackfoot First Nations.
