Consists of articles and other records used by Powell to research Chinook Jargon and its historical uses. Powell referenced the sources in the unpublished manuscript Chinook Jargon: The Language of Northwest History.

Contains records relating to the development of the Kwak’wala Teacher Training Program, or KTTP. Records include administrative records, notes, correspondence, research, and final drafts of teacher training material.

Consists of Tsimshian language education materials produced by Margaret Seguin and Susan Marsden. The materials were used by Powell for research purposes during his work on the Gitxsan books.

Consists of notes and other records relating to the development of a morphological lexicon for Nuu-chah-nulth. Morphology is the linguistic practice of identification, analysis and description of the structure of words. A morpheme is the smallest meaningful unit in the grammar of a language. The morphological lexicon developed for Nuu-chah-nulth by Powell is an inventory of the whole of the language’s morphemes, or meaningful sounds in its vocabulary.

Consists of audio recordings of community members reading the Nuu-chah-nulth language education books. The recordings consist of more than one copy of most of the books, as they are read in various dialects

Consists of photographs taken for the Musqueam Language: Book 1 and Hunq’um’i’num for Kids: Books 1 & 2, photographs taken as part of the class that Jensen taught at Musqueam in 1978 and historical photographs.

Consists of correspondence, grant proposals and applications, and other records relating to Phase 2 of the Shuswap project. Phase 2 includes all the records pertaining to the project after it expanded to include the communities of Soda Creek, Dog Creek, Canim Lake and Sugar Cane.

Consists of the original manuscripts of Let’s Study Shuswap: Book 1, Let’s Study Shuswap: Book 2, Learning Shuswap: Book 1, and Learning Shuswap: Book 2. Manuscripts include typed and handwritten sections, original illustrations, and photographs. Sub-series also includes Shuswap alphabet sheet.

Consists of tapes and transcripts used to form the text for Where the People Gather. The tapes contain a mix of recordings of Norman Tait teaching/directing the carving of the NEC pole and later poles, and more formal interviews between Jensen and the carvers involved in the projects of this time period.

Consists of photographs illustrating life in La Push. When Jensen first arrived in 1972 it was the first time she had been to the Northwest coast: she found it fascinating and took photographs of everything she saw. Throughout the time that Jensen and Powell worked with the Quileute, Jensen recorded activities and people in the community. These images were often used in the education materials that they produced.

Consists of field notes taken during Powell’s research into current uses of Chinook Jargon by the Quileute, as well as correspondence with other academics and linguists.

Contains the records and drafts used in the creation of the "Chinook Jargon Dictionary."
