Building Records

Subseries consists of records related to the MOA facilities and services including Conservation Laboratory construction, expansion and renovations, from initial proposal through design and development, including a large amount of records relating to the development of visible storage. Records also relate to building maintenance operations, earthquake mitigation, museum environmental concerns, and building security. Subseries consists of correspondence and memoranda, reports, photographs, blueline prints and other architectural drawings, handwritten notes, photomicroscopic images and negatives, and published materials.

The subseries is arranged in the following two sub subseries:
A: General Building Records
B: Visible Storage

APEC Summit

File contains records related to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in November 1997. File contains memorandums on the aftermath of the summit, correspondence, meeting notes in preparation for the event, the UBC-APEC Information Kit, and MOA’s Critical Path

Repatriation Files

File contains records related to a repatriation of one object back to the originating community in the United States. File contains correspondence, MOA’s internal records on the object, agreements, receipts, export declarations, records on the visit of the community to the Museum, and certificates of appreciation from the community.

File contains records on the collections and exhibition spaces related to Pacific Asia. File includes memorandums, correspondence, feasibility studies, proposals, agendas on the Asia Collections Working Group Meetings, and MOA’s Professional Guidelines from January 1998

Staff Manual - Collections

File contains the three records. Firstly, a manual to the collections for MOA staff. The manual includes information on general guidelines (temperature, light, etc.).
