The carvings are Sea Otter, Seal and Bear... Bottom section of the same pole shows clearly the bear mother motif with her paws covering the eyes of a human face."

It was customary among most of the Indian tribes to bury the prized possessions of an individual along with his remains. This ancient rite is no longer practised."
