Consists of photographs, in the form of negatives, prints and slides, taken during the period that Jensen and Powell lived and worked in the Western Gitxsan villages. The images include photographs that were used to illustrate the language books being produced, and other photographs that documented the culture and way of living in these communities.
Wakas pole raising 1987 photographs
Consists of photographs documenting the raising of the Wakas Pole in Stanley Park in 1987.
Consists of audio recordings created for various purposes. Many are recordings community members reading the language education materials created in both the Western and Eastern dialects. These recordings were intended to be used in conjunction with the books. Other recordings consist of interviews with community informants. Powell used the recorded interviews in preparation for the creation of language education materials. Finally, some of the recordings include community stories and songs that were considered and sometimes used in the language materials.
Trip to Village Island and Tzatsisnukomi (New Vancouver) photographs 2005
Consists of photographs documenting Jensen and Powell’s trip to Village Island and New Vancouver in 2005. Consists of photographs taken at a number of potlatches over the years. Includes: Roy Cranmer 1980; Wm T. Cranmer 1983; Speck Potlatches; Alice Smith 1994; Margaret Cook 1995; Peter Knox 1995; Big House Opening 1999; and others.
Consists of photographs taken of people and events in Alert Bay and surrounding Kwak’wala speaking communities. Photographs document the activities of the era such as potlatches, fishing, trapping, and activities surrounding the opening of the U’Mista Cultural Centre, and many were taken for the purpose of using them in educational language books.
Consists of administrative records, notes, and final lessons created for the Kwak’wala CD-ROM language course. Contains records relating to the development of the Kwak’wala Teacher Training Program, or KTTP. Records include administrative records, notes, correspondence, research, and final drafts of teacher training material.

Unpublished manuscript and lessons
Includes a number of versions of the unpublished manuscript titled "Chinook Jargon: The Language of Northwest History." Also included are the lessons prepared for the Chinook Jargon classes taught by Powell at Langara College, 1974 – 75.
Chinook Jargon dictionary files
Contains the records and drafts used in the creation of the "Chinook Jargon Dictionary."
Consists of articles and other records used by Powell to research Chinook Jargon and its historical uses. Powell referenced the sources in the unpublished manuscript Chinook Jargon: The Language of Northwest History.
Field notes and correspondence
Consists of field notes taken during Powell’s research into current uses of Chinook Jargon by the Quileute, as well as correspondence with other academics and linguists.
