Start of the Spring Festival, Chear Pi-pik' (Milk drink-drink) - First milk of the spring season. Also, Spring Festival, Kui Parik' (Valley going up ceremony). Babies born in the preceding year are considered polluted and can't go up the valley (up is pure) until, wearing their new hats, they are ceremonially carried uphill by their mothers.
