Totem pole in field

Image depicts a large totem pole standing in a field and surrounded by some brush. This pole resembles one carved by Arthur Shaughnessy, raised in 1924 as a memorial for Chief Wakas . It depicts a Thunderbird with no wings, Dzunuk'wa, Grizzly Bear, Raven, and Sisiyutl.

Kwakiutl Totem Pole

View of a Kwakiutl totem pole on Alert Bay, Cormorant Island, British Columbia. Pole stands in Nimpkish Band Cemetery and was carved by Willie Seaweed with Joe Seaweed. It is a memorial to Billie Moon and was carved in 1931. It depicts a Thunderbird grasping the head of Dzoonokwa, a giantess.
