File mainly contains historical images of the Heiltsuk, Nuxalk, and Wuikinuxv First Nations. These images depict village life, architecture and house posts, and regalia. The file contains images of a group of Nuxalk who traveled to Berlin to perform there. Images that are not historical depict a ceremony happening in the Great Hall at UBC MOA, unidentified artists working on a set of drawings, and what appears to be the Acwsalcta High School in Bella Coola. Non textual records include photocopies of photographs, and photocopies of museum catalogue cards.

Other images are of modern day Nisga'a totem poles housed in museums in Canada and the United States. The textual records contained in this file are catalogue cards which provide some of the photograph's context, providing information such as the location of the photograph, the people in the photographs, which museum and/or archive collection the image belongs to, and/or the image's catalogue number.

There are also images of Haida and Tlingit peoples dressed in regalia. Other photos include images of Haida and Tlingit artifacts, such as bentwood boxes and carvings, housed in various museums around the world. There are also images of a modern day ceremony in front of some totem poles and long houses. The textual records include photocopies of images of totem poles and Haida and Tlingit villages.
File contains images of Stan Green carving outside his workshop as well as close up images of his masks. In addition is coresspondence between Stan Green and Darrin Morrison inviting Green to speak at an event.
Item is a photograph showing a man, artist Jim Hart, putting some finishing touches on a totem pole. The pole was raised at the Museum of Anthropology on October 2, 1982.
File contains photographs of a pole raising ceremony. Included are images of drummers, and community members in regalia, and transporting and raising the totem pole.
Subseries contains images mostly taken by McLennan that show the Bill Reid pole which sat outside the Museum of Anthropology at UBC being taken down and moved inside the museum because it was no longer stable due to weathering. This spurred a project funded with a Canada Council grant to then create a new pole to put up in its place. This pole was carved by Jim Hart and called the Respect to Bill Reid pole.
