North American Indian Technology

Series contains Stewart's first book, unpublished, from 1963. It is based on lectures at the University of British Columbia. Includes a note about the creation of the book that Stewart added in 2005.

Includes files related to presentations that the Director gave for various purposes (teaching, conferences, museum, directorship). Includes final PowerPoint files as well as files involved with the development of the presentations.

Village life photographs

Consists of photographs illustrating life in La Push. When Jensen first arrived in 1972 it was the first time she had been to the Northwest coast: she found it fascinating and took photographs of everything she saw. Throughout the time that Jensen and Powell worked with the Quileute, Jensen recorded activities and people in the community. These images were often used in the education materials that they produced.

Field notes and correspondence

Consists of field notes taken during Powell’s research into current uses of Chinook Jargon by the Quileute, as well as correspondence with other academics and linguists.
