Photograph depicts a stone wall that Maude has identified as the remains of ancient pueblo on top of El Morro, New Mexico. He is likely referring to the El Morro National Monument, a great standstone promontory. The site is also known as A'ts'ina ("place of writing on the rock" in Zuni) or Inscription Rock because of inscriptions that travellers have left on the rocks for several centuries.

Photograph of what Maude has identified as upright stones used in certain A:shiwi (Zuni) ceremonies. In the same inscription, Maude writes that the photograph also shows an man throwing sacred corn meal to the north.

Image depicts a totem pole erected in a farming area. It stands behind a rail fence and in front of a wooden barn. Read's notes state: "The Owl, or Grave-of-Gurhsan, form representation of the mythic owl. The pole dates from about 1913, was carved by Arthur Wilson, of Larksail phratry."

Image depicts a close up of a totem pole, depicting the face of a human-like figure at its base. Read's note indicates this is the Pole of Mawlarhen at Gitsegyukla. "Raven at top; half pole uncarved; then large eagle, with folded wings; sitting frog; frog hanging with head down; bottom, the Man of the Comb whose hands, raised with palms forward are like native combs. Pole c1925, was about 40 years old. Erected to commemorate Mawlarhen and his sister Poking Bullhead. Carver local artist, Jimmy Good of the Fireweed phratry." An image of an aerial view of the Kyuquot village. According to the documentation included with the filmstrip, the description of the image states "Kyuquot from the air. You can see Walter's Island and out into the Pacific Ocean. The next Island to the right is Aktis Island, the ancestral home of the Kyuquot Band. In the early 1800's the Kyuquot Band was the largest on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. However one night in 1855 the Clayoquots, enemies to the Kyoquots, surprised the Kyuquot Village on Atkis Isl., cut off the heads of the Kyuquot warriers, took the women as slaves, and set fire to the village. Most of the village was destroyed during this, the last tribal war fought on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. A few years ago most of the Kyuquot Band left Atkis Island and moved into Walter's Cove."
