Subseries consists of records collected or created by Don Bain during the course of his Massive Carvings Documentation Project. This project took place in the early to mid 1990s. The Massive Carvings Documentation Project was intended to compile information directly related to the poles and massive carvings in the Museum of Anthropology (MOA) collection into a set of Totem Pole Files. The Totem Pole Files were intended to be accessible to MOA staff, volunteers, students, and the general public. The subseries is divided into two sub subseries:

a. Totem pole files
b. Working files

Subseries consists of one file of notes and correspondence relating to a proposed exhibition of Chinese wood block prints.

Subseries contains two photographs related to the Dress and Identity exhibit.

Consists of photographs in the form of negatives, prints and slides from Jensen’s visit to the Gitxsan villages in 1975, and from Jensen and Powell’s work and life in the Eastern villages between 1977 – 1982. The images include photographs that were used to illustrate the language books being produced, and other photographs that documented the culture and way of living in these communities.

The records in this sub-series relate to the artist Edgar Heap of Birds and the 2007 MOA exhibition Wheel: Overlays. An Installation by Hock E Aye VI, Edgar Heap of Birds. Sub-series consists of 4 files which relate to research and planning for the exhibition in addition to the Native Youth Project done in conjunction with the exhibition. The files consist of photographs, promotional materials, final reports, grant applications, exhibit development and educational materials, final reporting, research notes, correspondences, as well as articles about the exhibit and the artist.

Subseries contains photographic slides of the exhibit <i>El Corazon Del Mundo : At the Heart of the World</i>. This exhibit was held at MOA from October 23, 2002 - March 30, 2003.

Subseries consists of correspondence, meeting minutes, photographs and documentation regarding the totem pole that was carved for UBC by Ellen Neel in 1948, its subsequent deterioration and mishandling, and the committee formed to resurrect a new pole carved by Calvin Hunt. Bill McLennan sat on the committee that was struck to handle the installation of the new pole.

Subseries contains images of the opening ceremony for the exhibit titled <i>Eulachon: A Fish to Cure Humanity</i>.

Subseries consists of records relating to the exhibit “Eulachon: A Fish to Cure Humanity.” The exhibit was installed in Gallery 5 at the Museum of Anthropology from February 5 to May 31, 1992, and explored traditions associated with the fishing of eulachon and technology used to render its oil. In his capacity as Designer, Skooker Broome worked on the planning, designing, and installation of the exhibit. Records include: memoranda, correspondence, negatives, color photographs, b&w photographs, thumbnail photographs, transparencies, French and English exhibition captions and didactic panels, travel receipts, pencil and ink drawings, published articles, artifact lists, project summaries, budgets, a fish stamp, conservation records, exhibit catalogue drafts, colored photocopies of photographic images, exhibit diagrams, exhibit instructions, exhibit layouts installations, and designs.
