Kwakiutl Totem

Kwakiutl "Wild Woman" totem pole. Photo by E. J. Cooke; published by J. Barnard Photographer, LTD, Victoria B. C. This pole, located in the Nimpkish Band Cemetery, is a memorial to Billie Moon. It was carved in 1931 by Willie Seaweed and his son Joe. It depicts a Thunderbird grasping the head of the giantess Dzoonokwa.
