It was carved in 1931 by Willie Seaweed and his son Joe. It depicts a Thunderbird grasping the head of the giantess Dzoonokwa. The totem on the image's far left appears to be a pole carved by Tony Hunt (with Calvin Hunt, John Livingston, and Peter Knox), located in the Nimpkish Band Cemetery at Alert Bay.
Item is a hand-tinted glass lantern slide of a totem in a burial ground. Based on the original order of the collection, photograph might have been taken in Alert Bay.
