Peabody Museum, Boston

File contains images of totem poles and other Northwest Coast artifacts, such as weavings and carvings, housed at the Peabody Museum in Boston.

Stan Greene

File contains images of Stan Green carving outside his workshop as well as close up images of his masks. In addition is coresspondence between Stan Green and Darrin Morrison inviting Green to speak at an event.

A50043

File includes one drawing and three photographs of MOA Object ID A50043 which is a speaker's post. The photograph is annotated with handwritten information about their original repositories. The contents of this file were used to create object labels for MOA's Great Hall.

Bill Reid pole

Subseries contains images mostly taken by McLennan that show the Bill Reid pole which sat outside the Museum of Anthropology at UBC being taken down and moved inside the museum because it was no longer stable due to weathering. This spurred a project funded with a Canada Council grant to then create a new pole to put up in its place. This pole was carved by Jim Hart and called the Respect to Bill Reid pole.

Robes of power: Totem poles on cloth

Subseries contain the images used in the booklet Robes of Power: Totem Poles on Cloth written by Doreen Jensen and Polly Sargent, as well as a copy of the booklet. In addition, there are images of a children's workshop that took place during the exhibit at the Museum of Anthropology.

Tlingit/Tahltan/North

The majority of this file contains historical images of the Tlingit and Tahltan First Nations and their respective villages. The other images are of Tlingit or Tahltan artifacts housed in various museums in Canada and the United States. The historic images are of Tlingit or Tahltan villages which include images of Northwest Coast architecture, houses posts and totem poles, canoes, and other household items such as bowls, weavings, and bentwood boxes. There are also some images of the Tlingit people in regalia. The textual records contained in this file is a paper titled "The History of the Babine Carriers," written by Wilfred Adam for the class Education 479, Cross Cultural Education.

Village People

File contains images of various First Nations Cultural groups from the Pacific Northwest. The images include negatives and slides of Northwest Coast villages, totem poles, longhouses, and First Nations peoples dressed in regalia.

Great Hall label photographs

Sub-series consists of photographic prints and photocopies collected from other institutions for use on object labels in MOA's Great Hall. Items were originally housed in two large binders with dividers.

Oweekeno

File consists of photographic prints depicting Oweekeno cultural objects from other institutions. Many of the prints are annotated with handwritten, stamped, or typed information about the contents of the images or their original repositories. The contents of this file were used to create object labels for MOA Object ID A50006 in MOA's Great Hall.

Haida feast

File contains images showing the celebration continued in the Haida House at the Museum of Anthropology with song, dance, and speeches.
