Series consists of a voluminous amount of communication (approximately 270 letters) between both B.C. Binning and their friends and colleagues in Japan, predominantly Bishop Kojo Sakamoto, his family, and other friends and translators. The bulk of the communication occurs mostly around September 1966 onwards, when Sakamoto’s calligraphy was the focus of an exhibit at the University of British Columbia. Correspondence is presented in the form of letters, traditional scrolls, postcards, telegrams, notes, and a small amount of newspaper clippings.
Series is arranged chronologically by date, regardless of author. There are approximately eighteen correspondences that are undated that were all authored by Bishop and Kiyoko Sakamoto. These follow the dated correspondence.
Series consists of 6 scrapbooks assembled by the Binnings, either as commemorative souvenirs of their travels or as gifts to their Japanese friends overseas for a period of time covering over a decade. Scrapbooks consist predominantly of photographs, but also include brief notes and newspaper clippings. One file of textual records provides notes for a souvenir album assembled by B.C.
Series consists of records associated with the functions and responsibilities assigned to Miriam Clavir in her role as the conservator of the Museum of Anthropology, and/or are related to the Conservation Area, as well as to her teaching activities. Included are: correspondence, memoranda, reports (published and unpublished), evaluations, building (architectural) plans, photographs, slides, e-mails, facsimiles, computer disks, and audio cassettes.

Series consists of records pertaining to exhibitions at the Museum of Anthropology from the 1960s to the present day, including programming and events related to specific exhibitions. Material includes exhibition press releases, invitations, proposals, catalogues, and programmes. Records of this series are arranged into files for each represented exhibition, organized chronologically.
The research reports were written by students of the Department of Education at the University of Ibadan. Reports cover studies of various communities is western Nigeria. Collection also includes a map showing the location of the villages, two books published by Jack Lieber, and a piece of correspondence sent to him.
Series consists of images related to the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC and the Museum of Anthropology (MOA). Focus is on photographic representations of First Nations artists and artwork, including MOA installations and exhibits by Robert Davidson, Jr., Sharon Hitchcock, Henry Hunt, Gerry Marks, Rufus Moody, Norm Tait, and Francis Williams. Series also includes images of installations for the National Museum of Ethnology in Osaka, Japan. Files are generally arranged chronologically according to artist and/or subject matter. Except where noted with square brackets, the titles for files and items in this series were taken from annotations on the original material.
Series consists of printed materials sent from Kojo Sakamoto to the Binnings related either to the Bishop’s own art, or that of his mentor, Tomioka Tessai. Printed material comes in the form of exhibit catalogues, brochures, pamphlets, and newspaper clippings. A collection of encapsulated photographs from an undated calligraphy exhibit is also found in this series.
This series consists of graphic and textual materials related to Sawyer’s research on Northwest Coast artifacts. Graphic materials in this series include slides, photographs, and drawings of artifacts. Textual records in this series consists of research material and iconic analysis cards complied and/or accumulated by Sawyer, or by his students, regarding Northwest Coast artifacts. Other textual records include correspondence Sawyer had with various museums regarding Northwest Coast items in their collections.

Cassette and sound reel recordings of lectures given by Duff for Anthropology 301 and 304 and at external events. Also included are various interviews by Duff and taped narratives, songs, and stories by Maxime George (Fort Fraser), Donald Gray (Haqwilget), Johnson Williams (Kispiox), Maxine George (Dakelh) and “Shuswap Songs” by Amy August, Mrs. Wellard, Henry Samson, and Basil Dennis.
Series consists of correspondence between Audrey Hawthorn and Bill and Martine Reid, various invitations and programs to Bill Reid exhibits and a Haida House event, the funeral program for Bill Reid’s funeral, his obituary, various articles and newspaper clippings about Bill Reid and Haida art. Also in this series are photographs of Bill Reid and various participants with the Haida boat that was commissioned by Expo ’86. Other cards and notes in this series are addressed to Audrey Hawthorn by Michael Ames and Ruth Phillips. There are also several blank cards featuring Bill Reid’s art.

Series consists of research material collected by Stewart that cannot be identified as being for one particular project, as well as miscellaneous memorabilia and ephemera. Although material in this series is not necessarily connected to a particular project, it is all related thematically to Stewart’s research interests in the art and culture of First Nations peoples of the Pacific Northwest.

Material includes collected research, notes, sketches and illustrations, photographs, correspondence, book drafts, and pre-press materials. Material is grouped into subseries based by book. The series does not contain material related to all of Stewart's publication. The first subseries contains the first book that Hilary wrote, but did not publish.

There are also records related to various committees, curriculum reports, and acquisition evaluations for specific items which were considered for purchase by the museum.
