Museum of Northern B.C. - Prince Rupert

File contains copies of catalogue records of bentwood boxes held at the Museum of Northern British Columbia. Other records include a copy of a loan agreement and copies of correspondence between McLennan and the Museum of Northern BC.

File contains copies of correspondence between McLennan and the McCord Museum of Canadian History, as well as McLennan's notes from his visit to the Museum. Also contained in the file are catalogue records from McCord Museum of some of the Northwest Coast artifacts in their collection.

1906 delegation to London England [Chief Joe Capilano]

File consists of collected research on the 1906 delegation of Chief Joe Capilano (Squamish), Chief Charley Isipaymilt (Cowichan), and Chief Basil David (Shuswap) to London, England. The purpose of the delegation was to petition the King on topics around land and other rights for BC First Nations.

Museum Fur Volkerkunde

File mainly contains copies of correspondence between McLennan and the Museum Fur Volkerkunde regarding the Transforming Images exhibit. The photographs depict a canoe carved from Bella Bella that is housed in the Museum Fur Volkerkunde.

Glenbow Museum

File contains copies of correspondence between McLennan and the Glenbow Museum regarding a bentwood box in the Glenbow collection. The images are of a bentwood box, and of other Northwest Coast artifacts held at the Glenbow.

Tsilhqot'in/Secwepemc/Stl'al'lmx/Nlaka'pamux

The majority of the file contains historical images of the Tsilhqot'in, Secwepemc, Stl'al'lmx, and the Nlaka'pamux peoples. The photographs depict village life, including images of building structures in the BC interior, fish processing techniques such as fish drying, and carvings such as mortuary poles. Some of the images also depict First Nations people, some in regalia. The other images are official photographs taken by various museums in Canadian and American museums of Tsilhqot'in, Secwepemc, Stl'al'lmx, or Nlaka'pamux artifacts. The textual records contained in this file consist of a photocopy of a magazine article titled "Upstairs, downstairs: the early years," written by Heather Pringle, and published in the June 1996 (Volume 111, number 5) edition of the magazine Saturday Night.
