Great Hall label photographs

Sub-series consists of photographic prints and photocopies collected from other institutions for use on object labels in MOA's Great Hall. Items were originally housed in two large binders with dividers.

Hands of Our Ancestors: The Revival of Salish Weaving at Musqueam

Subseries consists of records relating to the exhibit, "Hands of Our Ancestors: The Revival of Salish Weaving at Musqueam," which was installed at MOA from January 28 to July 20, 1986. The exhibit was co-curated by Wendy Grant and Debra Sparrow of the Musqueam Weavers, and Elizabeth Johnson of MOA. Subseries contains agreements, attendance figures, budgets, brochure, comment book (copy), contact lists, correspondence, curators’ statement, draft text for catalogue, ethical review application, exhibit layout diagrams, grant applications, memos, newspaper articles, notes, photographs, slides, published articles, receipts, research paper, speaking notes, transcripts of research interviews, schedules, and audio-taped interviews.

Heredity: Heredity Chiefs of the Haida

Subseries consists of records relating to the exhibit “Heredity: Hereditary Chiefs of the Haida.” This photo-based exhibit was installed at the Museum of Anthropology from April 28, 1998 to February 21, 1999. Records include: drafts and final artist statement, artifact list, handwritten notes, photographic slides, pencil and ink diagrams, correspondence, memoranda, publications, announcements and press releases, exhibition description, agenda, release forms for photographs, exhibit budget, computer exhibit diagrams, and exhibit proposals.

Hidden dimensions

Subseries contains images of the exhibit and objects in the exhibit <i>Hidden Dimensions: Face Masking in East Asia</i>. Photographs were taken by Moya Waters.

High Slack: An Installation by Judith Williams

This exhibit by Vancouver Artist and UBC Fine Arts Professor Judith Williams included installations of paintings, sculptures, photographs and bookworks at MOA as a series of proposals for future directions in our relations with “other.”
