Scope and content
This file contains a letter from Jean Findlay to Marius Barbeau. In the letter, Findlay discusses ceremonial dances and potlaches, suggesting the Barbeau's original request pertained to these topics. A number of community members names are mentioned who had passed (Charlie Newman, Peter Pescaro, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Cook, and Charles Knowles), and it appears that Barbeau had requested information about these individuals. Handwritten notes dated June 23, 1986 refer to several editions of the Journal of American folklore, although the connection is not clear.
