Subseries consists of records relating to a joint project of the Vancouver Art Gallery and the Museum of Anthropology to send a travelling exhibition of Emily Carr’s work and related material on a tour of Asia. The records consist of correspondence, financial records, invitations, 2 maps, business cards, reports, newspaper photocopies, itineraries and memoranda.

Vancouver City Museum consultancy

Sub-series consists of textual records relating to Duff's work for the Vancouver Centennial Museum as a member of the Professional Advisory Committee and as a consultant curator for a display in the Vancouver Centennial Museum at its opening. Documents include policy drafts for the museum, minutes of meetings, correspondence and notes.

Vancouver Virtual Museum

Subseries consists of records relating to Skooker Broom’s responsibilities as the Museum of Anthropology liaison and coordinator for the development of a Vancouver Virtual Museum consortium and for the creation and development of proposals for a virtual museum. Records include correspondence, memoranda, reports, agendas, business cards, guidelines, confidential reports, confidential and proprietary documents, Vancouver Virtual Museum Society’s Act, minutes, grant applications (copies), expense lists, estimates, draft letters, grant notifications, agreement guides, drafts & final proposals, terms of projects, licensing agreements booklet, budgets, agreements, corporate reports, and consultation reports.

Videos

Sub-series consists of textual records related to Halpin’s work on a number of videos. Included is the narrative for the video “Introduction to Totem Poles” and notes and photographic research for the U’mista project.

Village life photographs

Consists of photographs illustrating life in La Push. When Jensen first arrived in 1972 it was the first time she had been to the Northwest coast: she found it fascinating and took photographs of everything she saw. Throughout the time that Jensen and Powell worked with the Quileute, Jensen recorded activities and people in the community. These images were often used in the education materials that they produced.

Visible Storage

This subseries includes materials used in the planning of the exhibit case layout and case design, including Earthquake Mitigation. The planning involved considering innovative ways to use museum space, safety and conservation of the collection materials as well as the enjoyment and interaction with the public. The subseries includes videotapes pertaining to earthquake mitigation. Areas of focus include tests of the current visible storage cases using dental wax, nylon microfilament and securing mechanisms. Records include 4 videocassettes.

Visiting scholars

Sub-series consists of textual records relating to visiting scholars who gave public lectures at the Museum of Anthropology. Included is correspondence and memos to A. Gerbrands, Paul Gibbons, Emmett Hannibal, and Lawrence Moss.

Volunteers

Subseries consists of a single file, “In-Service Education for Museum Associates” which relates both to the development of a policy for the broader education of museum associates in the fields of anthropology and archaeology, as well as documents which pertain to the public interaction training for volunteers. Records within this subseries include programs, memoranda and policy documents. Also included in this subseries is an audio cassette entitled “Audrey Hawthorn talks to Associates— History of MOA” 72.
