Series consists of records (primarily photographic slides) documenting Minn Sjolseth's travels with her husband Anthony Carter to visit events and communities at locations including Haida Gwaii, Ketchikan, Kitwancool, Kingcome Inlet, Kispiox, Gitsegukla, Kitwanga and Skidegate among others. The contents of the series reflect First Nations cultures in British Columbia throughout the 1960s and 1970s, including Haida, Nuu-Chah-Nulth, Skwxwú7mesh, Nisga'a, Kwakwaka'wakw. The photographs document potlatches, totem poles, villages, landscapes, as well as portraits of individuals. The series also contains files with a small number of photographs documenting Sjolseth's paintings on these subjects, as well as Sjolseth at work on her art on location in these communities and locations.

Series consists of correspondence and memoranda, handwritten notations, reports, newspaper clippings, journal articles, pamphlets, minutes, financial statements, papers, membership lists, photographs and other textual and graphic material related to the Museum of Anthropology’s relations with individuals, organizations, and associations external to the museum. Series includes records related to museum membership vis-à-vis the short-lived Friends of the Museum of Anthropology, the museum’s public relations activities, and events held by external organizations or groups at the museum, such as APEC, inquiries and requests received by the museum, including requests for guided visits, as well as records regarding the collection of visitor comments. Series consists of records documenting Minn Sjolseth’s practice as a painter and printmaker from the 1960s to the 1990s. Records include photographic documentation of Sjolseth’s paintings, other artwork, and exhibitions; newspaper clippings and other ephemera related to her artistic career; invitations, press releases, and one sheets from several of her exhibitions; textual records relating to her artworks and artistic career (including price lists, appraisal documents, and artist files from institutions); biographical and memorial pamphlets about Sjolseth; a scrapbook containing photographs and ephemera related to her art practice and personal life; and a sketchbook containing drawings and ephemera.

Series consists of records relating to exhibits curated by Jennifer Kramer. The records span the entire breadth of the intellectual creation process, including research material pertaining to exhibition subjects, transcripts of interviews used for research and publication purposes, administrative files and notes and correspondence pertaining to exhibition design, installation and publication development. Series consists of photographic negatives and prints of items from Walter and Marianne Koerner's personal collection. Subjects include ceramics and First Nations art. It is likely that many of the photographs were taken by Eugene Horvath, who acted as a sort of personal assistant to Walter Koerner's collecting hobby. It is probable that most of the photographs in this series were made for use in the collection catalogues.

Series consists of records related to Dr. Halpin’s activities as a professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia. Records include student evaluations of the internship program supervised by Dr. Halpin from 1983-1984 while she was Acting Director of the Museum of Anthropology, permission forms for a student project which Dr. Halpin consulted on, notes on an expansion of the department curriculum, reports, and records related to the source book for ANTH 432 which consists of two pictures, photocopied articles and course bibliography.

Series consists of draft and final copies of Halpin essays, reviews and manuscripts. Some drafts are partly typed and partly handwritten. The reviews include both Halpin’s reviews of works by other authors as well as reviews of Halpin’s own published works. Some files include correspondence relating to publishing a paper or a review.

Series consists of workshop notes, curriculum unit notes, reports, photographs, slides and negatives pertaining to native studies programmes offered at the Museum of Anthropology and Madeline Bronsdon Rowan's work on the Native Youth Project, the Coast Salish Project, the Spirit Song Project, and the Native Indian Youth Advisory Committee. Also included are audio tapes and workshop notes pertaining to the North West Coast workshop.

Powell first went to La Push, the Quileute village in Washington State, in 1969 to complete research for his PhD dissertation Proto-Chimakuan: A Reconstruction. While he documented the language he also developed relationships with the local families. During Jensen’s initial visit to La Push, the couple began their first collaborative work with the Quileute, as Jensen photographed the community for eventual use in a language book.

Powell completed his dissertation in 1974, but the language revival projects had only just begun for Jensen and Powell. Over the next 36 years, they spent time in La Push every year, sometimes travelling down for a weekend, and sometimes staying for a month or two. The results of these regular visits are a number of general linguistic books for adults and children; Big Books on culture specific themes to be used in schools; teaching materials to be used by Quileute language and culture teachers; cultural resource studies; dictionaries; and translated stories and resources for smaller language revitalization projects. The records in this series consist of Powell’s research notes; drafts and outlines for the language books; photographs documenting the community; Jensen’s photographs taken of particular subjects for use in language and culture books; audio and visual records of events, stories, and cultural activities.

Jensen and Powell have a continuing relationship with the Quileute and are currently involved in an ongoing language revitalization project. Another dictionary is due to be published in 2009.

Series consists of informational guides, pamphlets, and brochures printed by, and about, the Museum of Anthropology from the 1970s to the 2010s. Guides and brochures cover general Museum of Anthropology information, such as opening hours, exhibitions, maps, and contact information.

Series includes audio and video interviews with Agnes Alfred and other members of the Kwakwaka'wakw community. Series also includes translations of some of those interviews or sections by Daisy Sewid-Smith
