Handwritten inscription on the border reads "Skidegate Indian house & poles Skidegate Q. Ch. Is." Printed on the verso is the photographer information with the inscription "R. House frontal totem poles in situ

House frontal totem poles in situ near Fort Rupert. These were removed and stood in Totem Park at U.B.C. for several years before they were transferred to the new Museum of Anthropology.
