Collection consists of published or printed materials produced by and about the Museum of Anthropology. These materials include records related to MOA’s exhibitions, collections, programs, events, membership, gift shop, and physical buildings/spaces. Record types include pamphlets, brochures, reports, books, magazines, newspaper articles, cards/postcards, educational handouts, and posters.
The collection has been divided into 12 series. Some series, such as the "Exhibitions and collections series" or the "Membership series," reflect the subject area or function of the records within them. Other series contain records grouped together by record type, such as the "Posters series" or the "Cards and postcards series."
Series consists of materials published or printed by the Museum of Anthropology, including books, reports, periodicals, and newsletters. Records in the series are divided into 13 files:

File consists of reports of the museum's activities from 1947 onward. These reports were generally produced at the end of each fiscal year beginning in 1978. Most reports cover a single year, while some span multiple years. In some years, multiple reports were produced. The file does not contain reports for the fiscal years ending in 1992, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2013, 2014, 2017, or 2018.
The reports in this file give information on the museum's activities, attendance, administration, funding, renovations, security, volunteer associates, curatorial work, exhibitions, acquisitions and donations, interactions with the university, outreach, programs such as the Native Youth Project and the Prison Outreach Program, educational activities, marketing, VIP visitors, and special events, among other topics.

Sub-series consists of textual records including articles, student papers, and photographs accumulated in order to create a source book for Anthropology 432 taught by Dr. Halpin. It also consists of course outlines and bibliographies for Anthropology 431, which was also taught by Dr. Halpin, and one student paper from Anth 449
The image consists of Jean Telfer standing on school grounds with a small child before her.
Subseries consists of images showing artwork from the exhibit Images of Life: 50 000 Years of Japanese History and a copy of the proposal for the exhibition (in the form of an illustrated booklet).
This file consists of one copy of the book "Mongolian Folk Lore." translated by T. Attree in January 1926, in Tienstin. N. China.
