Fonds consists of an album given to Mary Tucker by her grandfather who had received it in the early 1900s as a gift from the Japanese Diet. The album consists of a series of hand-tinted silk screen reproductions depicting a variety of Japanese scenes and landmarks. Each individual silk screen is labeled with the subject of the image. The covers of the album are black lacquer with a floral image in gold on the back cover and a scene in relief of a woman and a boy sweeping on the front cover.

The fonds consists of material Pilon created and collected when she was in China from 1947-49. Pilon worked for the Pioneer Timber Co., and attended the Medical College at West China Union University (WCUU), in Chengtu, Szechwan, China. Prominent themes among the fonds materials are the daily life of an international student in China, Christian missionary work in China, and discussions (among English speakers) on the contemporary Chinese Revolution of 1949.

Records include letters, photos from China and Tibet, local publications, and drafts of Pilon's essays. The fonds also includes an original book of Mongolian Folklore (1926) and other misc. related items. Also includes digitized copies of material, created by Pilon's niece, Jane Wagner.

The fonds consists of correspondence, questionnaires, and photographs relating to Bob Kingsmill’s research for his book A Catalogue of British Columbia Potters (1978). In order to gather material for his book, Kingsmill created a questionnaire requesting information and photographs, which he sent to about 70 potters throughout British Columbia. The fonds consists mainly of the responses Kingsmill received, which include the completed questionnaires containing short biographical and artistic statements by each potter, together with black and white or colour photographs of the artists and their pottery.

Fonds consists of 21 photographs from the 1978 Bill Reid pole raising ceremony at Skidegate, an event at which Gill was an observer.

The fonds consists of two handmade scrapbooks containing maps, photographs, notes and sketches made by Leonard Humphreys during his time in the Sudan. Humphreys compiled these scrapbooks in 1978.

Fonds consists of a set of tapes of interviews and the corresponding interview transcripts with Dr. Charles (Carl) E. Borden, late Professor Emeritus of Archaeology at the University of British Columbia, in June/July 1978. Additional textual records include comments made off-tape by Dr. Charles E. Borden during the course of the interviews. The interviews were conducted, transcribed, and edited by Anne Williams for her thesis Carl Borden and archaeology in British Columbia: an interactive history. The interviews relate to the social history of archaeology in British Columbia and were made possible by a British Columbia Youth Employment Program grant.

Fonds consists of a paper written for Anthropology 301 taught by Professor Dr. Michael Kew, entitled [Red Cod Island Village or Ninstints Village] - A Memorial, with accompanying colour slide images of the carved poles of Anthony Island, a permanent village of the Kunghit Haida, located on the southern shores of Haida Gwaii.

Fonds consists of 71 black and white photographs of the Hopi, the Zuni, and Inscription Rock. The fonds is divided into threes series: Donation Letter (1977), Hopi Images [189-?], and Zuni and Inscription Rock Images [189-?].

The records in this fonds consist of material created and received by Ruus both in her voluntary capacity and as a curatorial assistant. The majority of the records in the fonds pertain to the 1976 Guatemalan Highlands exhibit. Other materials in the fonds relate to the management of the museum’s collection, with a particular focus on research into visible storage. Fonds consists of photographic material created by Dr. Stephen Inglis and a series of twenty-four black and white prints depicting potters in a small community in India or images of fertility statues photographed by colleague Walter Huber. The colour negatives show local artisans and their works. The black and white photos mounted on cards were created between 1974 and 1977 and show Indian craftspeople, particularly Bengalis and Tamils. The images may have been created for the purpose of Dr. Inglis’s PhD research.

AC2002-48-025  48-76 are 51 colour negatives that depict local craftspeople and shrines in India.

AC2002-22-001 22-160 are black and white photographic prints mounted on white card. The images depict local Indian craftspeople, particularly Bengalis and Tamils. Some are identified with location and what is happening in the photo, while some are unidentified.

The Wilson Duff papers consist of textual records, photographs, negatives, slides, maps, audio recordings, compact disks and one video tape that relate to Duff's activities, correspondences, and publications as one of the foremost researchers in Northwest coast Indian history, culture and traditions. Also included in the fonds are records relating to Duff’s work as an Anthropology professor at the University of British Columbia, his advisory and curatorial consultancy work, committee membership and the exhibit Images: Stone: B.C.

Fonds consists of four photographs, and correspondence between Evelyn Goddard and the Museum of Anthropology regarding the donation of the images. The photographs include two snapshots taken by Goddard of indigenous graves at Hagwilget, BC, a photograph showing scenes around Hazelton, BC, and a postcard featuring the image of a totem pole at Kitseguecla, BC.

Fonds consists of a collection of photo albums, clippings and slides created and collected by Rita Steeds to document her travels in Korea and the Philippines.

The fonds consists of minutes, correspondence, contracts, and reports relating to the Planning of the Museum of Man (later Museum of Anthropology). The fonds includes information pertaining to the planning for the new museum, building needs, museum function, and the Functional Program which outlines the results of decisions the committee made.

Fonds consists of negative images of petroglyphs largely from the Pacific west coast of North America. Most of the images are from sites located in British Columbia, but there are also images from sites in Washington State, New Mexico, and other areas of the United States and Mexico. There are also images of artifacts, masks, totem poles, wood carvings, and graveyards. Images of family travels, landscapes, wild animals, and house cats are interspersed within the collection.

Fonds consists of 83 photographs taken between 1974 and 75 when Dan Jorgensen was in Papua New Guinea to study the Telefolmin people. The images have been mounted on card and are labeled with place and title. Most of them were assigned a number and letter by Dr. Jorgensen. On the verso of the card, Dr. Jorgensen has detailed what is happening in the image.

The material is grouped according to a letter designation which Dr. Jorgensen had assigned. The assistant archivist has assigned a DJ and number to those images that Dr. Jorgensen had not numbered.

This fonds consists of 136 slides taken by E. Polly Hammer on various trips to British Columbia, Alaska, Manitoba, and Minnesota during the time she was based in Manitoba. The slides primarily depict totem poles from throughout the Northwest coast, including carvings by Mungo Martin and Henry Hunt. There are also depictions of petroglyphs and other works of art, as well as buildings (houses, museums, forts, and other dwelling places) and landscapes. There are also several photographs of events attended and photographed by E. Polly Hammer. The fonds also contains a booklet with information on and images of totem poles in Prince Rupert, British Columbia.

The fonds consists of printed ephemera relating to First Nations art, correspondence, and photographs of Gitksan totem poles.

Fonds includes 20 audio reels used to record speakers of the Secwepemc language of Secwepemctsin. Gibson created the recordings while conducting research for his dissertation, “Shuswap Grammatical Structure” (1973). Other materials include a copy of a photograph of Gibson with two of his informants, and a copy of his obituary.

The fonds consists of records relating to African culture and craftsmanship. It includes photographs and slides of Ivory Coast and Nigerian crafts and cultural events, correspondence, research notes about African handicrafts, typed anthropological portraits of craftspeople and related drawings, postcards and magazine clippings.
